Jim McCarthy is an internationally recognized expert on peak performance teams - the Silicon Valley Way! He has led inspirational, practical, science-based programs on Leadership, Goal-Setting, Hiring, and Stress Reduction from Ecuador to Washington DC, from New York City to San Francisco. He became employee # 258 at Yahoo in 1997, and later built high performance teams at NexTag, BlueLithium, and Drawbridge. His roles have ranged from sales to operations, from product management to business development -- both in the U.S. and internationally. Earlier in his career, Jim was an English teacher in Frankfurt, a business journalist in Madrid, and a McKinsey consultant in Munich. He received a BA in Political Science from the University of Iowa (Phi Beta Kappa), was a Fulbright Scholar in Germany, and earned his MBA from Stanford. He lives in San Francisco.
