Hamilton Chan is the CEO of Coaching for Startups. Hamilton graduated phi beta kappa and magna cum laude with highest honors from Harvard College and graduated from Harvard Law School. He worked as an investment banker at JP Morgan in Hong Kong and in New York, performing Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance work.

After graduating from Harvard Law School, Hamilton was a corporate attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson, where his clients included Berkshire Hathaway and Kobe Bryant. He then worked at MGM as a Business Affairs executive in the Motion Picture Group, before leaving to run his family’s commercial printing company, a move that was chronicled in a feature in Los Angeles Magazine.

As a sole non-technical founder, Hamilton then launched a tech startup that was funded by $1.75 million of seed capital from Y Combinator, 500 Startups, SV Angel and Rustic Canyon Partners, among others.

Hamilton is the Instructor at GA for Business Fundamentals & Tactics, Sales & Business Development Immersive and Negotiation Workshop. After successfully selling his commercial printing business, Hamilton spends his time advising other startup founders as an executive coach, providing them counsel on everything from startup tactics to self-optimization.
