San Francisco
Lara McCormick is a nationally recognized designer and educator based in San Francisco. Her experience includes roles at Twitter, the Exploratorium and the New York Times. She is the author of ‘Playing with Type: 50 Graphic Experiments for Exploring Typographic Design Principles’ published by Rockport Press, gives presentations and workshops on for organizations including AIGA, AdobeMAX and TEDx. She is a two-time recipient of the Sappi ‘Ideas that Matter’ grant and past judge for the Communication Arts Typography Annual. Lara received her MFA in Design from the School of Visual Arts, and a post-graduate degree in typography from Cooper Union. She is committed to design education, social activism and investigating change.
