Catherine Liao joined her first technology startup at the age of 19, as a systems engineer for one of the first Internet conferencing services in the 90s. Since then, she has held technical and business roles in startups and Fortune 50 enterprises. Currently, as the Sr Director of Platform Marketing at Riverbed Technology, she leads a team responsible for taking Riverbed’s Application Performance Platform to market.
Catherine is also the founder of the Corkbin wine app, which was acquired by Hello Vino. Her experience and insights of the mobile app industry is documented in her book, The Evolution and Dynamics of the Mobile App Economy: Strategies for Innovating and Marketing Mobile Apps.
