About this class

Few ventures can prosper without understanding the desires and actions of consumers. It is critically important for entrepreneurs to understand how potential buyers decide to take up new innovations, as well as how to utilize consumer inputs throughout a product’s lifecycle. We’ll first explore the traditional innovation adoption-diffusion models and “consumer culture”. Then we will take a broad view of marketing and innovation, and ways in which consumer perceptions and behaviors can be leveraged in launching a new product or service.

Takeaways

  • Understand consumer behaviors and decisions that are often irrational, but predictable
  • Understand buyer decision-making processes when it comes to new innovations
  • How to capture and respond to consumer contexts
  • Gain insights that can be applied to your go-to-market strategies
