Alexis Baum

To Alexis 'designing an experience' is like giving a special gift to a friend - it requires empathy, thoughtful preparation and creative execution to inspire genuine delight.

Her passion for human-centred design and 5+ years at Second Road building the innovation capability of companies across Australia have made her uniquely qualified to reinvigorate everything from customer experience strategies to employee engagement programs in both B2B and B2C sectors.

A New Jersey native, she has lived, worked and studied in 40 countries, redesigned and managed experiences for Cirque du Soleil, and spent time with Nobel Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu and Cuba's Fidel Castro. It is her eclectic curiosity, pursuit of new adventures and love of learning that make Alexis a great Experience Architect as well as a leading educator.

With more than a decade of experience designing and delivering bespoke educational programs to tertiary students and senior executives in Australia and abroad, Alexis's unique combination of action learning and coaching can unleash the natural design thinker in anyone.

Alexis has a Masters of Design degree from IIT Institute of Design (Chicago), a Bachelor of Arts degree in Logic from Smith College (Massachusetts), has studied industrial design at Art Center College of Design (California), and participated in Semester at Sea, volunteering in communities across Asia, Africa and South America.
