Enter the UX job market with a portfolio composed of five unique projects. You’ll have the opportunity to create real work for a real company with a small team of your peers. Check out a past student project.
GoCatch is a mobile application that connects taxi drivers directly with passengers across Australia. We conducted an end to end review of the booking process for both the passenger and the driver.
GoCatch should aim for an extremely simple application that allows passengers to book a cab in one screen and allows drivers to accept jobs in one click. As a team we recognized that the main pain points were related to three problem areas: barrier to enter, passenger wait time, and call between the passenger and the driver.
We analyzed the user flows on both the passenger and driver side, and identified the pain points, opportunities, and possible solutions.
Every member of the team sketched the screens for the path we defined. Then, organized the best solutions in one set of sketches.
We set the recruitment brief, wrote the script for the interviews, and created interactive prototypes to test the passenger ideal path and our new ideas.

What separates a good product from a great product — an app that jumps to a user’s home page rather than getting pushed to the back of a folder, or a website that people can’t wait to share with their friends and family — is user experience.
