Against an unprecedented backdrop of the Coronavirus pandemic and the paradigm shifts in working and recruiting as we know them, workplaces continue to evolve and professionals who are or will be navigating the job market are abound to encounter new, and most certainly unfamiliar, ways of advancing closer to and winning their dream jobs. Most notably, as companies around the globe make adjustments to prioritise the health and safety of their employees and communities, many talent acquisition teams have reassessed how they conduct candidate interviews and consequentially, virtual interviews have become a necessity and a new reality. Virtual interviews can seem daunting to most as establishing yourself and building rapport over the computer screen do require certain adjustments to your tried-and-tested interview strategies. At the same time, as physical career fairs and networking events, the traditional venues to meet potential employers and professional peers, are no longer feasible, professionals will have to adapt their strategies to continue to build their network to meet their career goals to get their foot in the door at their dream company or connect with a professional peer.
