Here in Singapore, we love our food and we cannot lie. With a plethora of dishes and flavors from all corners of the world, It’s no wonder eating is the (unofficial) Singapore's favorite pastime. The local appetite has also fed local food success stories, the likes of Ya Kun Kaya Toast and BreadTalk, and in recent years, these home-grown brands have also taken Singapore food overseas, with some rising up from humble beginnings to take the world by storm.
The past years have not been kind to most industries, but F&B arguably ranks among those that got the toughest blows. With many biting the dust, those remaining had little choice but to adapt in order to weather the storm and continue putting food on the table.
