New York City is a melting pot of communities of thinkers and makers. Our “Intro to the ‘X’ Community” event series will give you the inside scoop as well as the tips and tricks you need to break into the respective community.

After a short pause from the series for the first 2 weeks of October, on October 15, Spoon University and General Assembly are pairing up to share insights about how to break into the rapidly changing and growing food media world.

Our panel discussion will cover everything from what it's like to start your own food media company to how to join an established one and rise through the ranks. We will also reveal what food media looks like from the inside and how you can make your mark on the industry, even with little to no experience.

Following the discussion, there will be time for networking and enjoying food and drinks from some of the best spots in NYC.
