New platforms may come and go, but Facebook remains king. Not only is it the largest social network, but its users are increasingly also the most engaged: in their 2014 survey the Pew Research Center found 71% of online adults use Facebook and 70% of users engage daily. Whether you're marketing a start-up, small business, creative endeavor, side hustle or global brand you can (and should!) harness Facebook's power.
This workshop will get you started: we'll fine tune your skills and teach you about Facebook’s ever changing algorithm. You'll learn about Facebook Pages as tools for storytelling, engaging with customers, generating leads, managing customer service, launching products, driving traffic to websites and amplifying brand messages. You'll understand what content Facebook prefers and what users want to see (and whether those are the same!). After this class you will be able to find your people and engage with them in the tailored way that Facebook facilitates so well.
This workshop will NOT cover Facebook Advertising.
Students should have a personal Facebook account and bring their laptops
