About this event

A tremendous amount of attention is dedicated to making workplace environments more diverse and inclusive. Yet, despite concentrated effort, women continue to face implicit and explicit barriers in the workplace, and are underrepresented in management and senior leadership positions. Women of color experience even greater challenges. Join us at this panel discussion where women professionals from racially diverse backgrounds explore, discuss and unpack how gender and race intersect in the workplace, as well as share their personal stories of career surprise, heartache, and triumph. This will be a highly interactive, solutions-based dialogue that will serve as a prelude to a General Assembly workshop on Thursday November 5, 2015: “Talking About Race in the Workplace.”

Agenda:

6:00 Networking

6:30 Panel

7:30 Networking
