A collaboration between CHE Proximity and General Assembly, DesignHack is a unique co-creation event which aims utilise the talents of General Assembly's Alumni to solve complex socio-political problems.
The first DesignHack kicks off on Friday 27rd November at 6pm and continues until 11pm when we will wrap up with team presentations, judging and prizes.
What are we designing?
CHE Proximity have been working with the Australian Futures Project, a not for profit initiative whose sole objective is to build Australia’s capacity to make decisions for a flourishing shared future beyond 2020.
Imagine an Australia that has addressed the uneven economic impacts of the mining boom, unleashed the next wave of productivity gains, built the infrastructure to take advantage of the Asian century, achieved gains in equality and opportunity for Indigenous Australians, reined in our growing ecological footprint and dealt with obesity, diabetes and mental health problems.
That’s not too much to ask, is it?
Our objective is to build platforms that spark a deeper national conversation about these and many other issues shaping Australia’s future. We want to encourage and facilitate action towards a better future, and instil a sense of possibility among all Australians.
And we need your help designing the right platform.
