About this workshop

Most things around us came from an idea, but since ideas are abstract -intangible thoughts, before they become tangible or operational they need to be broken down from those layers of abstraction. Entrepreneurs, business owners, managers, project leaders and software developers can greatly benefit by understanding and using an Enterprise Framework which will allow them to align business strategies and goals to uprising modern technologies and digital solutions.

Takeaways

  • Understand the importance and benefits of Enterprise Architecture and trace its origins
  • Learn the terminology for key business operations & processes and how they can be mapped to information systems
  • Walk away with a practical “open source” Architecture Framework that can be used to create a common language in business meetings across teams, vendors, contractors and across levels of the business (enterprise).

Prereqs & Preparation

None - this class is meant to be an introductory lecture of the field.
