About This Class

The best content is the kind that takes us on a story, provokes a response and inspires us to share that content with others. Want to know how to create it? In this class we look at how to tell your brand story in a way that is engaging, relevant and authentic – and how to market that story on social media.

These days, it's not a question of whether you should be on social media, but how to use it best for your business. Join us for a creative and inspiring session that covers how to dig deep into your brand story, build on this with story-driven content, and speak to your target market, in order to grow your audience, increase brand awareness and leverage the power of social media.

This class is fantastic for: small business owners, creatives, social media marketers and anyone wanting to learn more about how to share their story and leverage the potential of social media. A basic understanding of social media is necessary.

This workshop is highly interactive with group activities and discussions throughout. To participate you will need to:

  • Have your camera turned on for the entire session
  • Have an accessible microphone
  • Be in a quiet, well-lit space with minimal distractions

You need to have downloaded Instagram and having a basic understanding of Instagram is preferred but not 100% necessary.

This session is not recorded however, you will receive the instructor’s slides following the session.

Jordan Lomax is an experienced Digital Marketing Manager, as well as graphic designer, with a broad portfolio of previous clients across many different industries, including fashion, tech, music, travel, e-commerce and food. She has worked on both client and agency side for the likes of Spotify, Shopbop, OMD and The Thoughtful Agency, as well as freelancing for many other high profile brands, developing and implementing their digital marketing strategies.

Jordan now runs The Social Lab - a social, web and design agency servicing a range of clients, big and small. Outside of this, she is a freelance designer and digital strategist, and (most importantly!) is the Lead Instructor for General Assembly's Digital Marketing immersive, guiding students along the road to becoming fully-fledged Digital Marketers. In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, Jordan has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

In what little spare time she has, Jordan is an enthusiastic consumer of reality television and loves spending time with her beautiful pooch, Iggy.
