Co-founder and Software Engineer, Gibsunas Consulting

    Denver

Valerie Kraucunas is a Co-founder and Software Engineer at Gibsunas Consulting, currently employing her talents at Charter Communications as a Prototyping Developer. When it comes to code, she prefers a user-driven, pragmatic approach. She is a bootcamp grad, and has worked in tech education, healthcare, auto loan, cannabis tech, and now, telecom sectors since switching from administrative work to software. The thing she enjoys most about coding is that it allows her to use her creativity in multiple ways, from working with designers to implement identity and style, to working with other developers or independently to solve business logic problems. There are few things more satisfying to her than coming up with a solution to a code problem while brushing her teeth or doing another "real life" thing. In her free time, she likes spending time with her partner and pets, listening to audio books, photography, and cooking.

    Fun Fact:

I was a seamstress in my college's costume shop. Some of my favorite costumes to work on were for productions of West Side Story, Chicago, and The Nutcracker ballet.
