Valerie is a digital analyst within the digital team at HSBC. Her team is responsible for developing and managing both online and mobile banking for HSBC retail customers. Her day to day involves analysing customer journey maps, identifying pain points and coming up with solutions to improve customer experience banking with HSBC.
Her journey to product management begin after she completed the GA Part-Time Product Management course in 2018. Prior to that, Valerie was an investment specialist in HSBC assisting high-networth clients with their investment strategy and a sales trader for 3 years trading currencies at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank.
Valerie is a big advocate for work-life balance. She enjoys travelling, dog-sitting for random pet owners, attending interesting talks and working on new skills outside of work. Currently, she is learning web development and making a kokedama moss ball is next on her list!
