Inspired by data science, grounded in engineering. A structural engineer-turned data scientist, and an articulate researcher, driven to make sense of the limitless data we produce. Nothing fascinates me more about data science than the sheer breadth of its possible applications. With entirely open-source tools, we can predict where diseases will spread, when a material will fail, or how a policy can affect the economy.
With GA, I get to train students of broadly diverse backgrounds and experience, and equip them with the tools and problem solving skills to become capable data scientists throughout a 12-week full-time immersive curriculum. Together, we delve into a breadth of topics including, Python, pandas, scikit-learn, databases, webscraping, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, regression, classification, statistics, visualizations, deep learning and natural language processing. The golden age of data is here, and I'm excited to help train passionate learners how to harness it.
