Assistant Manager for Operations, PeaceTech Lab

    Washington, D.C.

Terrance Stevenson is the Assistant Manager for Operations at the PeaceTech Lab. PeaceTech Lab works to reduce violent conflict using technology, media, and data to accelerate and scale peacebuilding efforts. In his role, Terrance oversees the Lab’s financial accounts, operating budgets and is the lead for facilities related matters.

Prior to working at PeaceTech Lab, Terrance was a Financial Management Specialist at the Peace Corps Headquarters. While there, he supported the agency’s financial operations team as a liaison between the Office of Global Accounts Payable and various government partners at the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of the Treasury on issues related to inter-agency agreements and overseas financial policies.

Before moving to Washington D.C. in 2015, Terrance lived and studied in Taiwan as a recipient of a Taiwanese Government language scholarship. His love for learning the nuances of cultures through language study began while he was a Peace Corps Volunteer, living and working as an English Teacher in the small town of Kapan in southern Armenia. Seeing the past and present conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the impact it has on his Armenian host-families, students and friends propelled his interests in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.

He received his BA in International Studies from the University of Memphis and his MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University’s School of International Service. His research focuses on improving peace outcomes through private sector partnerships.
