From his hybrid design and international experience Tanner has seen how designers have the opportunity to support a triple bottom line, and to design better services that allow people to co-create preferred futures for themselves and their communities.

Tanner has spent the last two years studying and working in Copenhagen but has returned home to found Mesa Design, a design and research lab focused on creating sustainable, human-centred services and solutions. He has worked with companies like Whirlpool, Cricut, Siemens, Under Armour and others to create products and services that co-create value with their users.

He holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University and a Master’s in Service Systems Design from Aalborg University in Copenhagen. He speaks Mandarin as a second language, has two kids and is craving to ski Utah powder again.
