Steven is a multi-award-winning business leader with seventeen years of experience across agency and in-house roles. He specialises in developing marketing communications strategies that build reputations, create business opportunities, and protect against risk.
In his current role at TEAM LEWIS, Steven leads a team of marketing communications specialists delivering integrated campaigns for some of world’s most admired technology brands.
During his career he has created corporate, consumer and stakeholder engagement campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola, Tourism Australia, and National Australia Bank. Steven spent five years as communications manager for Sydney Opera House, implementing brand campaigns with partners including Tourism Australia, Google, and FIFA, and working on major events such as APEC Australia.
His issues management experience includes his work with Al Jazeera English on the media, government, and stakeholder engagement strategy for the #FreeAJStaff campaign. This global campaign successfully secured the release of journalists Peter Greste, Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed from imprisonment in Egypt.
