Sonya Lee
Head of Product & UX and Co-founder
Starting with (IRC) Internet Relay Chats in 1995, Sonya graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Art and eventually transitioned into the web industry professionally in 1999 as a Web Designer at Warner Bros Online.
With 19 years of experience, Sonya was previously the President of Mowie Media, a boutique UX and design agency where she spearheaded projects in the entertainment, corporate, digital media industries. With a strong passion for business strategy, product development, branding and marketing, Sonya has managed and led projects with Warner Bros, Disney, ABC and other startups to develop cutting edge digital experiences.
Sonya is currently the COO and co-founder of Dude I Need A Truck, a mobile-app that connects consumers with dudes with pick-up trucks. Her role spans across product management, UX, development marketing and business operations. She provides high level, holistic direction across design, technology, marketing and business perspectives which strategically translate into a profitable, functional and engaging interactive product that consumers want and need.
Sonya serves on the steering committee for TechSparks and Innovate Pasadena, organizations designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the greater Pasadena area. She is also the co-founder of Santé D'Or Foundation, a 501(c)3 no-kill animal rescue group in Los Angeles.
