Sloan is an American engineer from MIT with deep ties to the Silicon Valley startup community - a serial entrepreneur and inventor who has built startups in four countries and raised millions of USD in seed funding for Lifespans and previous ventures. He was the former Chief Design Officer of One Earth Designs, and has work experience at several multinational medical device firms, including Stryker and CR Bard. Sloan received a BSc from MIT and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, both in industrial design, and is a final-year medical engineering PhD candidate in the HKU Faculty of Medicine.
