While working as a manager at award-winning restaurants and hotels such as The Clevelander and The Standard Miami in Florida and DuMont Burger and Fette Sau in New York for over 10 years, Shenae Simmons was bit by the coding bug. She committed to the career pivot by completing a fellowship in web development at Per Scholas, an information technology school, and then graduating in 2019 from General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive. Already close to fluency in French and at a conversational level in Spanish and Japanese, Shenae’s goal is to learn Italian and Portuguese so that she can order more food and wine while traveling. Currently, she's living her best life in the Netherlands!
