Shebani is a design professional with varied experience in the field of Usability, Interface Design and Print Design - primarily in the domains of eCommerce, Financial Services, Pharma, Gaming, eLearning and Mobile amongst others.

Shebani started her journey in UX with Human Factors International (the World's largest UX Company) where she spent almost 6 years, and thanks to her mentors, grew as a senior professional. As a Group UX lead, she had the privilege to work across domains and business challenges. She lead and mentored large teams across diverse geographies.

Coming from a design background she realised her passion in UX - a world where design meet users needs and not merely based on what the client wanted. To understand real users (their pain points, desires and needs), solving problems and seeing design succeed.

Its a profession she has excelled in and gives her immense satisfaction. She specially enjoys doing user research and is fascinated by cross cultural challenges.

Shebani has a strong desire to keep learning about UX and impart her knowledge to others. She is a certified instructor in UX and is currently teaching a full time UX course at General Assembly, Hong Kong.

Shebani took a sabbatical for 4 years to discover and experience a different part of her being. A part she is very proud of - being a mother of a gorgeous little boy. She completely enjoy's this new role.

Her other interests include travel (having lived in India, USA, Vietnam and Hong Kong and travelled to many other countries), meeting people from different parts of the world, exploring different food and pottery. She is also interested in wildlife conservation, but thats now limited to holidays and needs to be kept aside for another life!

• Plan and conduct user research, information gathering, in person/ remote usability tests and analysis, user interface structure projects and design of standards
