Sharmaine is passionate about tapping into the power of data to uncover insights and create solutions to advance global sustainable development. Before her endeavour into data science, she was with a Big 4 accounting firm where she worked with financial institutional clients in advisory and auditing projects. With the voluminous amount of data involved in these projects, she was often motivated to seek out solutions to distil data into insights efficiently. These experiences had laid the groundwork for providing the impetus to equip herself with programming skills for data analysis and modelling frameworks for data processing and had ultimately led to her deep interest in data science.
