    Features Director, Cosmopolitan Australia

    Sydney

South African-born Shari spent her teenage years in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand and that’s where her love affair with Cosmo began. Dreaming of magazines and changing the world one feature at a time, she studied journalism at university in England. After doing a master’s degree in Sydney, she scored an internship at Woman’s Day magazine, which led to a full-time job as an entertainment writer (and a few years later, entertainment editor), where she interviewed A-list stars, including Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, and Channing Tatum. Fast forward five years and her dream of working for Cosmo came true – and she’s not looked back since. Last year, she won B&T’s 30 Under 30 award in the Journalist category and her campaign against emotional abuse was a finalist at the Australian Magazine Awards.
