Shabnam is a digital enthusiast—interested in the design and development of digital experiences. She is currently a digital project management consultant at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, where she is responsible for the initiation, coordination, and completion of digital projects. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and an MFA in Emerging/Digital Media from UCF and.

Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, Shabnam moved to the U.S. in 2010 to attend graduate school. With 2 suitcases full of life essentials, and $8,000 cash for the first semester’s tuition, she set off on her journey to build a career in tech.

For the past decade, she has worked in a variety of different roles, while navigating the bumpy road of being an immigrant woman in the male-dominated world of tech. Since then, she has gone from having no work experience to working for a fortune 100 company.
