I am a Graphic Designer turned Software Engineer. My career change journey was somewhat spontaneous, having always been a creative my entire life, spending more than half a decade as a Graphic Designer. My interest in coding was originally nothing more than a hobby.
Wanting to utilise my additional free time working from home in lock-down, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill which led me down the path of enrolling myself in General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive program.
After my introduction into coding, it didn't take long for me to realise that design and programming shared many similarities in all the ways that I enjoy most which became the pivotal moment in my career change decision.
As I delve further into Software Engineering, my main focus is on Full-stack development using Node, Express and React as well as creating clean, robust, code that is well maintained and thoroughly tested using Test Driven Development.
