    Rain Breaw Michaels is an expert in user experience and interaction design, information architecture, and web accessibility. Recent work has included experience and architectural overhauls of SAG-AFTRA’s online cast clearance tool, RSA’s conference site, ArchivesSpace (an open source archive framework), Technicolor Games, and the USC Race & Equity Center’s PRISM project. Passionate about voter education and advocacy, she has been at the helm of the League of Women Voters’ effort to make it easy for local Leagues to use the internet to empower local voters nationwide for over ten years. Over her career, she has taught web development, accessibility compliance, content strategy, and user experience topics at UCLA, UCSB, UMass Lowell, and Ulster County Community College, lead numerous Drupal Global Training Days, and authored the 10 hour O'Reilly video course, Learning Drupal 8: Install, Build, Deploy and Maintain a Customized Drupal Website. Rain earned her MFA in Film Production from the USC School of Cinema-Television in 2007, and previously studied film and cultural anthropology at Vassar College.
