Peter Hammer is Head of Insights and Analytics across Asia-Pacific for Discovery, Inc. He leads all facets of the region’s data and research capabilities - including TV and digital audience reporting and analysis, brand and subscriber measurement, content insights, as well as market and consumer intelligence - to support growth and data-led decision making across the business.
Peter joined Discovery in March 2021 with more than 15 years’ experience in agency and client-side roles. Prior to Discovery, he founded the Marketing Scientist Group, a research, data and technology company aiding marketers to make evidence-based decisions to grow their brands. He was previously Head of Insights & Analytics at Yahoo7, Director of Research and Planning for Turner Broadcasting in Hong Kong, and has held roles at AUSTAR Entertainment, the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute and University of South Australia.
Peter regularly features in trade media and at conferences in Asia Pacific, and is published in the Journal of Advertising Research.
