    Nayana Prakash

    PhD Researcher, The Oxford Internet Institute (OII)

    London

    Nayana Prakash is a PhD researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII). She also holds a BA in English Literature and Language from the University of Oxford, and an MA in Modern Literature and Culture from King's College, London. In a previous life, she was also a management consultant in London.

    Her PhD research focuses on Indian women's online storytelling, and the Internet as a site of neo-colonialism. She considers voice, agency and power in creative fiction on digital storytelling platforms. Beyond this, she also has an upcoming co-authored publication on AI in the Workplace, published with the Minderoo Foundation.

    Alongside her academic research, Nayana is passionate about anti-racism and decolonising work, specifically in relation to academic teaching. She currently runs a working group to diversify and decolonise teaching and reading lists at her department and is engaged with organising work around these causes on a local level.
