    Nakul Munjal

    CEO, StatusIdentity

    Washington, D.C.

Nakul Munjal has worked in cybersecurity since 2003. In 2006, he administered the first computer-based bar exam in the country. As part of the founding team for IBM Security Systems in New York, he helped multiple Wall Street banks and insurance companies navigate cybersecurity requirements resulting from the 2008 financial crisis. He is regarded as a subject matter expert in Identity and Access Management technologies, where he was an executive covering North America and Latin America for Micro Focus; a business he grew from a single 200K deal to over 6m in revenue in 2 years. Nakul began Status Identity after observing that CISOs regularly complained that inconvenient security controls were causing productivity losses in their organizations. With tightening regulations, this problem was compounding. Nakul believes that by applying machine learning and behavioral analytics to enterprise access controls, we can elevate both security and convenience. Nakul holds a Bachelors in Biology and Economics from

the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from Babson College.
