I've been working as a UX professional since 1999. In that time, I've been with small tech startups, and large multi-nationals; including Adobe (my current gig), Autodesk, Ericsson, and Oracle. My focus has been primarily on enterprise products, deployed mainly on web and mobile UIs. I came to design from an engineering background, and do my best to keep current on implementation technologies. I've work in Agile/Scrum product development environments for most of my career - and have acted in a Product Owner, and Scrum Master role before.
I took up teaching UXD part-time with GA because I enjoy passing on what I've learned over the years to people interested in improving user experiences through design practices. Teaching forces me to sharpen my focus on core UX principles and practices through the eyes of people new to design. I find this makes me a better designer. Plus, I never fail to be impressed by what I learn, and projects created by students.
