    Michael Galvin is a data scientist at GE Power & Water working on advanced analytics and data mining solutions for global operations, risk, finance, engineering, sales, and marketing. Prior to working at GE, Michael spent several years as a data scientist working on problems in credit modelling and small business lending at Kabbage and corporate travel and procurement at TRX, acquired by Concur.

     

    Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Computational Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also spent 3 years at Ga Tech in a research role working on data science related projects related to computational biology and bioinformatics problems.

     

    Additionally, Michael spent 12 years in the United States Marine Corps where he held various leadership roles within aviation, logistics, and training units. In his spare time, he enjoys running, swimming, travelling, and photography.
