Melissa Hui

Melissa’s approach to user experience is a reflection of her belief that innovation happens where ideas and disciplines intersect. A hybrid user experience designer and researcher, she applies a mixed educational background in the life sciences and anthropology to her work. With specializations in SaaS, healthcare and ICT4D, she has addressed design challenges in sociocultural contexts, interaction design, and ethics for early stage start-ups, global Fortune 500 companies and clients, university technology transfer, social enterprise and humanitarian technologies.

Melissa is passionate about emerging paradigms in interface and interaction design, interactive and transmedia storytelling, and mentoring the next generation of designers. When she’s not designing, she’s collaborating on a collection of experiments and side projects while looking out for new food adventures and design inspiration.
