Melissa is a People Leader AKA human resources leader with over 20 years of experience leading the People function in Fortune 100 public and private companies. She has spent the last 10 years scaling multiple technology startups, helping a few of her past employers win a position on Fortune's Great Places to work list. Most notable: Stack Overflow, Experian, and IntraLinks.
Melissa is passionate about building, shaping, and evolving organizational culture that connects people to its mission, vision, and values. She believes in helping improve the life of others, and that we as humans are all connected in one way or another. The secret sauce is to focus on what brings ups together, and not what pulls us apart.
In addition to leading people teams, she volunteers and consults with nonprofits and works closely with rising founders through the AWS Expert Network program. Guiding founders in early or pre-venture startups develop and execute their talent acquisition and development initiatives.
She holds a BS in Business Economics from SUNY Oneonta and recently completed an Entrepreneurship Acceleration Course at the Wharton School through their Executive Education Online Program.
