Sari-Sari was founded in May 2018 by first-generation Filipina-American creatives Marielle Sales and Gabriella Mozo. In Tagalog, "sari-sari" means "variety." In the Philippines, sari-sari stores are family-run convenience stores often attached to the front of homes in a scrappy, creative way.
As a business, Sari-Sari is both a creative studio and an e-commerce store. Through the lens of community visibility and empowerment, Sari-Sari has built a platform and space that amplifies the Filipinx diaspora. Sari-Sari produces and curates culture-driven content, as well as collaborates with diverse talent and brands in their network on campaigns and initiatives.
Sari-Sari's work has been featured in publications including Hypebae, i-D, CNN, and The New York Times.
