Maria Brown-Spence is the Founder & CEO of Hearts2Heal, a local nonprofit dedicated to designing and implementing community- based bereavement support & wellness strategies for underserved communities, including military service members, veterans & their families. As an Afro-PuertoRican, Maria knows the importance of creating dialogue and opportunities to perpetuate health equity and resources that efficiently treat mental health challenges in communities of color and within military culture.

She is also the Program Manager for the Entrepreneurs Foundation at Capital Factory, devoted to creating corporate culture initiatives to support the philanthropic efforts of Austin tech and startup ecosystem.
