As a former Hawaii-based flight attendant with a B.A. in Japanese and M.J. in Journalism, Maddy Deason knows all about the road less traveled. From attending hackathons to building news apps as an intern for USA TODAY, she aggressively taught herself to code and pursued a career in web development. Now based in Boston, she uses a variety of languages and technologies to code Getfused’s UX and design teams' dreams into reality. Maddy is passionate about diversity in tech and is a leader with the Boston chapter of Women Who Code, where she has given free tutorials on GitHub and D3.
