Maanas began his career as a developer, quickly gaining experience in all of the different fields of software development. As he continued as a software craftsman, he consulted for a market leader in retail analytics where he wore several hats across product development and as he slowly gained a particular skill which he would later know to be "Product Management." In search of naming this craft, he found himself at General Assembly enrolled in the part-time Product Management course. Enthused to finally put a name to the skill which had his newfound passion, he started to devote his mind and soul to Product. Maanas now practices Product at HYFN as a Product Manager, where he oversees the product development of the Twitter advertising business for the Media portion of the organization. A year and a half since the enrollment in the General Assembly course for Product Management, Maanas now preaches his craft as an Instructor Associate for the very course that made him a Product Manager.
