Lauren Galea is an Austin native who discovered her passion for marketing and advertising during her two years at GSD&M. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Marketing, from Texas State University. While earning her degree Lauren competed as a member of Texas State’s nationally acclaimed fencing team. After graduation she worked in business to business sales for a cloud computing company before beginning her career at Facebook where she works as an Account Manager within the Global Sales Organization. As an Account Manager she partners with global eCommerce brands to drive direct response sales and ultimately grow her clients’ businesses through marketing on Facebook.
Lauren has a passion for helping people and enjoys providing pro bono business marketing consulting to local businesses and non-profit organizations. Lauren is a strong advocate for Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Rainforest Partnership, and the Austin Lyric Opera and has worked with over 25 local businesses and non-profits in the past year. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys traveling, meeting and connecting with people and exploring new experiences.
