Kent Johnson

Co-founder, Black & Abroad

Atlanta

Kent Johnson is the co-founder of Black & Abroad, a company dedicated to international luxury and adventure travels for black travelers. For the past two years, Kent has committed himself to empowering others in his community to travel the world through shedding light on the journeys of expats and travelers of color, using Black & Abroad as the medium for influence. His ultimate goal is to increase the number of passport holders (and users) within the black community and to educate children and young adults about the benefits of seeing the world.

The travel bug bit Kent early when he was given the opportunity to live in Berlin, Germany for a year at 8 years old. Since then, he’s been running out of passport pages whenever the opportunity presented itself and trying to give the same excitement of world travel to others. Thus far, Kent’s travels have taken him to over 20 countries.

Kent has given motivational speeches to high school students across the country related to education, entrepreneurship, travel and civil rights and moderated panels on technology in travel and expat living.
