Prior to enrolling in General Assembly’s Data Science Immersive program in 2021, Katie was a high school math teacher looking to pursue a career in data science. Upon graduating from the bootcamp, she was offered a position as an Instructional Associate for the course. From various ages, backgrounds, and experiences, her students reminded her why she fell in love with the teaching profession in the first place. Now serving as a Senior Instructional Associate for General Assembly and as a Lead Data Analytics Instructor for Podium Education teaching at multiple universities such as NYU, Georgetown, and ASU, she is grateful to have the opportunity to combine her passion for teaching and data. She feels fortunate to work alongside dedicated and caring instructors who continuously strive to provide the best lessons and learning environment for their students.
