Katie Pestotnik is a software engineer with a passion for solving problems with code and helping others do the same! She got into the field because she wanted a new challenge that will allow her to be a life long learner. Building projects into something useful allows her to contribute in a meaningful way.
Prior to software engineering, she worked in TEFL teaching English abroad, talent acquisition, and general database management.
She loves to work on personal projects, particularly building mini games that her niece and nephew get to test out and play or building photo memory applications to gift to family and friends.
Teaching at GA has been a true pleasure for her. Coming up on 2 years, she has guided many students towards their passion in software engineering. Seeing the joy from students after completing a project is a gift that comes with the job. She truly believes and supports students, fostering their strengths to succeed in the field.
