After working in design over the years, Katie found her true passion by pursuing accessibility in design. As a Product Designer on the Accessibility Team at Dell, she works alongside product managers, designers and engineers to champion accessibility throughout the organization. In her role she focuses on testing designs for users of all abilities and assistive technologies, and educating teams on implementing accessible design into their workflow.
An alumni of General Assembly's User Experience Design Immersive, she became interested in accessibility's impact after learning Regine Gilbert's insights on inclusive design.
She is currently working towards her certification for CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) and volunteering with the NYC User Experience Professionals Association (UXPA).
