Providence
As the Rhode Island Foundation’s vice president of technology and operations management, Kathleen is responsible for all aspects of technology at the Foundation, as well as operations and facilities. She is a member of the Foundation’s Leadership Team. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2006, Kathleen worked as director of technology at St. Andrew’s School, Barrington, RI, and was evening supervisor at Lincoln (RI) Technical School. She has worked as a network administrator and technology director at public and private schools in Rhode Island and New York and has taught technology for 20 years. Prior to that Kathleen was involved in the medical computing industry.
Kathleen earned an undergraduate degree from Immaculata (PA) University, a master’s degree in nonprofit management from New England College, Henniker, NH, and received a master of business administration from NEC in 2014. She also has earned numerous technology-related certifications. Kathleen shares her professional expertise with nonprofits, is a member of the Technology Affinity Group (TAG), Women in Leadership Nexus, and was formerly the chair of the Tech Collective’s IT Managers Roundtable and the 501 Tech Club Rhode Island. She presents on technical topics likes IT security, social media, and increasing nonprofit capacity with technology.
Kathleen was recently named Outstanding Mentor at the Providence Business News Business Women Awards. Among the honors Kathleen has received are the 2014 Nonprofit Technology Network’s NTENny Award and a 2012 Tech Collective Tech10 Award. While at Lincoln Tech she was named Administrator of the Year. Kathleen is on the technology committees of Family Service of Rhode Island and Rhode Island Public Radio.
