Kate Murdoch
Senior UI/UX Designer, SessionM
Kate Murdoch is a UX Designer with a pretty unusual resume. Her eclectic background includes experience as a boat captain/tour guide, an elementary school teacher, and a member/manager of the band Sidewalk Driver. These varied positions have helped Kate to hone her problem-solving, leadership, presentation, and multitasking abilities. Her careful (obsessive?) attention to detail and eye for design, along with the domain skills she gained in General Assembly's UXDI program, allowed Kate to make an exciting transition to a career in UX.
Kate is now a Senior UI/UX Designer at SessionM, a SaaS company that makes a customer engagement platform. In her previous role as a Senior UX Designer at BlueMetal, an interactive design and technology architecture consulting firm, she led design efforts for clients such as Fidelity, MIT, Corning, and State Street.
When she’s not solving design problems, Kate enjoys playing music, being in and around boats, and interacting with dogs as much as possible.
