Karen Rose is a software engineering team lead at BuildingConnected. She currently leads the engineering team that's focused on mitigating risk for general contractors. Karen is passionate about creating a supportive culture for women in the workplace and was a founding member of BuildingConnected's Women's Employee Resource Group. Before joining BuildingConnected, she shared her passion for high-quality software and intuitive user experience by teaching and mentoring at MakerSquare. Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Saint Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and is obsessed with efficiency in daily life. She’s always searching for ways to free up cycles so she can focus on what she loves, like traveling, hiking, rock climbing, camping, and running.
