    Julie Meloni has spent more than 20 years as a builder of technical things, a builder of teams, and builder of teams who build technical things. She has worked in web application development since the beginning of time (NCSA Mosaic! Yeah!), but took a break along the way to teach undergraduate courses in composition, technical and professional writing, literature, and digital technology and culture. Over the years, she’s also written numerous introductory-level books on PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    Having just finished a tour of duty with the United States Digital Service as the Director of Product Management & Strategy/Operations, Julie is currently the Engineering Manager for Improbable, a company that positions large scale simulation at the heart of decision making for local, state, and Federal governments.
